Dr. Desirae Wheatcraft, a native of Iowa, received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University in 2013. After graduating, she completed a small animal rotating internship at BluePearl in Louisville, Kentucky. During her internship, Dr. Wheatcraft discovered her interest in veterinary dermatology and accepted a dermatology residency with Animal Dermatology Clinic.
Dr. Wheatcraft received board certification with the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2019. Her professional interests include auto-immune skin disease, allergies and ear disease. Dr.
Wheatcraft enjoys consulting on dermatological cases with the Tulsa Zoo.
While away from the hospital, Dr. Wheatcraft enjoys watching sports, camping and spending time with her husband Wayne, their Cavalier King Charles spaniels “Bella”, “Finley”, “Louis” and their cat “Fiona’.
