Amanda Armendariz was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas in 2012 where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. Dr. Armendariz worked a few years a veterinary assistant in San Antonio and then furthered her at Texas A&M University in College Station once again. She graduated in 2020 and pursued employment in Tulsa, Oklahoma as a general practice veterinarian. In 2022, she joined our emergency team to further her experience in emergency medicine and critical care cases. Dr. Armendariz has a special interest in endocrinopathies, laceration repairs, soft tissue surgery and cytology.
When she is not treating your loving pets at OVS, she enjoys spending time with her rescue animals. Dr. Armendariz has two dogs (Puddles and Wiggles) and two cats (Little and Poof). She loves to crochet stuffed animals and make clothes. She also enjoys playing video games on different platforms (PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch) and enjoys taking naps.
