The licensed Veterinary Technicians of Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists are professional, dependable, and highly competent individuals with many responsibilities.  Our technicians work either full-time or part-time with varying schedules that span three different shifts to deliver excellent patient care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  In addition to caring for Emergency patients, our Emergency Department works closely with our Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Radiology departments.

Veterinary Assistants

The Veterinary Assistants of Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists are experienced, dedicated professionals that provide support to our clients and clinicians with the highest consideration for patient care.  Veterinary Assistants also work either full-time or part-time with varying shifts that span 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  In addition to caring for Emergency patients, our Emergency Department works closely with our Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Radiology departments.

Emergency Doctor/Board Certified Criticalist

Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists is seeking a full-time ER doctor and Board Certified Criticalist.  We are a privately owned 24/7 Emergency and Referral hospital located in beautiful Northeast Oklahoma.  We currently offer referral services in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Radiology, and Dermatology in our brand new 14,500 square foot hospital.

In addition to an on-site IDEXX reference day lab, we are well equipped with GE 4- slice CT, ultrasound (including ER dedicated ultrasound), rigid and flexible endoscopy, in-house IDEXX laboratory and much more.  Our compensation package includes generous CE allowance, paid time off, employer matching retirement savings plan, health and dental insurance, professional liability insurance, paid dues to local, state, and national VMAs and uniform allowance.  The ideal candidate will have completed and Internal Medicine/Surgery or ER Internship or have equivalent ER experience. Boarded Criticalist and VECCS residents actively pursuing board certification will be considered for the Criticalist position.

Must have a good attitude and be able to work as a team. Must be flexible in working ER shifts as some overnight shifts may be included in the work schedule.

Kennel Technician

The Kennel Technician position is an excellent way to be introduced to the field of Veterinary Medicine.  Our Kennel Technicians are a vital part of our patient care team and are responsible for keeping our hospital clean, aiding in proper restraint of patients and assisting our Veterinary Technicians or Veterinary Assistants.  We are seeking self-motivated individuals with an excellent attitude and a passion for veterinary patient care.
